Akane Aoi

Nene’s best friend, Akane Aoi, is a first-year student at Kamome Academy’s High School division. She starts off in the story to tell Nene about supernatural rumors. Aoi Akane, who has an intense obsession on her, is her childhood friend.

Akane Sumire
赤根スミレ
According to No. 6, she belongs to the Akane Clan, a family renowned for sacrificing their offspring due to their unique ancestry; Nene believes her full name is Akane Sumire. Although Sumire is not Aoi’s direct ancestor because she was sacrificed in her teens before having children, she is regarded as an ancestor of Aoi because the Akane family attained high status by raising a girl to be sacrificed.

Nene’s classmate, Aoi Akane, a first-year student at Kamome Academy High School and vice president of the student council, has an intense crush on his childhood friend. In secret, he is a supernatural being that governs the present as the Guardian of the Present, one of the Seven Mysteries of the school, and one of the Three Clock Keepers alongside Kako and Mirai.

Hanako Kun

Formerly known as Yugi Amane when he was human, Hanako is a ghost that haunts the old Kamome Academy building, grants wishes, and is in charge of the Seven Mysteries as School Mystery Number 7.

One of the antagonists in the series is Hyuuga Natsuhiko, a second-year student at Kamome Academy High School and a member of the Broadcasting Club.

Kako
カコ / 過去 / Wonder No.1
Along with Mirai and Akane, he is a supernatural who controls the past as one of the Three Clock Keepers, making them members of the Seven Mysteries. He is the most powerful and oldest of the three, able to alter entire timelines rather than just the past.

In addition to being the younger brother of Teru and the older brother of Tiara, Minamoto Kou is a third-year student at Kamome Academy’s Middle School Division and a member of the reputable Minamoto Clan of exorcists.

The eldest daughter of the Minamoto Clan, Minamoto Tiara is the youngest of Minamoto Teru and Kou’s siblings.

Mirai
ミライ / Wonder No.1
As one of the Three Clock Keepers, along with Kako and Akane, Mirai is a supernatural who governs the future. She has the power to punish anyone who violates Kamome Academy’s time regulations because she is the second-highest of the Clock Keepers, perhaps after Kako. Compared to her former energetic and childish nature, she is far more serious and focused in this role.

Mitsuba Sousuke
ミライ / Wonder No.3
Two similar characters are referred known as Mitsuba Sousuke, or simply Mitsuba. The original was a member of the photography club and a middle school student who turned into a ghost that haunted the lockers at Kamome Academy until Hanako put a stop to his torment. After swallowing the heart of the former School Mystery No. 3, Tsukasa resurrected him from his soul and other supernatural beings, and he now represents the Hell of Mirrors, the third School Mystery.

Mokke
勿怪 / もっけ
The Mokke is a species of supernatural beings that haunt Kamome Academy. They are small, fluffy, and mostly friendly, often serving as cute mascots for the series.

Shijima Mei
四島芽衣 / Wonder No.4
Two related characters with slightly different name spellings are referred to as Shijima Mei. The first is Kamome Academy’s School Mystery Number 4, a supernatural being who watches over her surroundings from a tower. She was made to resemble the second Shijima Mei, a former student who is now a ghost that roams the same area.

Shinijami-sama
死神様 / Wonder No.6
Only once a year, Shinigami-Sama, whose real name is Hakubo, haunts Kamome Academy during Urabon as the Sixth School Mystery. Adopted by Minamoto Yorimitsu, this ancient oni took care of Akane Sumire as a kid before being slain to seek revenge for her sacrifice.

Tsuchigomori Ryūjirou
土籠 龍仁郎 / Wonder No.5
Kou’s homeroom teacher is Tsuchigomori Ryūjirou, also known as Tsuchigomori, who teaches science at Kamome Academy. He is the curator of the school’s fifth mystery, the 4PM Bookstacks, and he is secretly a supernatural.

As the current representative of the 2nd School Mystery, the Misaki Stairs, Yako is a supernatural that haunts Kamome Academy’s art room stairs.

Yashiro Nene is a first-year student at Kamome Academy High School who has formed a contract with Hanako, becoming his assistant, and is regarded as a modern-day kannagi.

Yugi Tsukasa
柚木司
Yugi Tsukasa, the younger twin of Yugi Amane, is a ghost at Kamome Academy who grants wishes to the Far Shore. He currently resides with Nanamine Sakura and Hyuuga Natsuhiko in the Broadcasting Club room at the school.
